Sorensen Systems to Exhibit at
HydroVision Show in Minneapolis
July 26-29, 2016

Northborough, MA (7-22-2016) - Sorensen Systems has announced that it will again exhibit at the HydroVision International Conference and Exhibition, which is being held this year from July 26-29, 2016 in Minneapolis, Minn. The show, which is billed as the “world’s largest hydro event,” features an exhibition of products and services in the hydropower industry as well as perspectives on the role of hydropower and issues affecting hydro resources. The show was created in 1994 and Sorensen Systems previously exhibited in Nashville, TN and Portland, OR in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

According to Mark Ferland, President of Sorensen Systems, the company views exhibiting at the show as an opportunity to showcase its competencies in hydraulic-pneumatic-electrical control integration. “We’re very excited about the hydro industry, but also water control and waste-water controls. This platform at HydroVision is excellent for us to get exposure to customers we may not have been in touch with in the past,” said John Ford, Project Manager at Sorensen Systems.

As the largest gathering of hydro professionals in the world, the decision to promote conduit energy recovery allows hydro industry partners to see what Sorensen Systems has to offer in this growing sector of the hydro industry. According to John Ford, the exhibit will include information about recovering energy through conduit hydropower and the role Sorensen Systems plays as a partner in designing and building specialized turbine-generator units for micro and small hydro installations including projects for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) and Spartanburg Water. “We team up a lot of times with turbine manufacturer and OEMs, contractors and the end-users,” said Ford.
